  3. Sufia 6.0 release candidate (Giarlo)

    1. Requires releases of active-fedora, hydra-head, hydra-editor, hydra-collections, & hydra-derivatives

two streams of work fedora 4 and master.  This discussion is about the fedora 4 work and creating a new release candidate for sufia/fedora4

Significant work has been done since last release

Need new version of the gems that sufia fedora4 depends upon

If anyone has any outstanding work on  active-fedora, hydra-head, hydra-editor, hydra-collections, & hydra-derivatives that they would like to be in the next release contact Mike G. or Justin Coyne.

Are the Plans to push fedora 4 on master? not in the plan, but nothing is stopping it except that sufia 5.0 does not exist yet

Justin did work on the components over the christmas break.

Test sufia with the latest branch of sufia.  Tests are passing but a manual walk through is needed

  4. Hydra-editor changes (Coyne)

    worked on over break

1.0.beta3 release - editor from worthwhile

plus button is on bottom instead of top

    is on sufia 6

can be used outside of worthwhile

may need to push beta 4 or RC

  5. What is going on with Hydra::Works? (Coyne)

application profile format document started by Esme

    multi page text

    audio cd example

    archival content model

example rdf description file for each use cases

not just the diagram but also an RDF file

Hydra Works application Profile offf of the wiki (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1o-Iq1oKN_W5NXXDQC81pxkhibOz_AhZlY7IShxPTR5M/edit#)

No coding has been started after what was done in Portland

Make sure the model covers their parameters and needs

Do we need to ask for resources to start coding for this?  We had agreed to start this coding

Spend time between now and code4lib to come up with a loose plan. Mike G is planning to start working on this

Pose the question to the list, and use the start of the list.  Who has what when so we can get broader involvement.

  6. Announcing the Oargun gem (Coyne)

Announced by Justin (https://github.com/curationexperts/oargun).  Descriptive metadata around controlled vocabularies.

may be another Gem that has some overlap with this gem

validations should be moved over for the other gems

possible overlap with questioning authority.  Might be able to work on in code4lib.

Joe is using ActiveFedora 5.x and updated the code to rspec 3 (no PR was done)  Poked at licenses and all of those issues are fixed.
