Notes
Hyrax 2.1 Release Update (Lynette Rayle)
- Asked Julie Rudder about testing
- General impression: testing was going well
- Van Tuyl will review blocking issues
- 4 issues on release 2.1 considered blocking
- Look to be fairly minor, could use a hand in tackling
- On the blocking issues, there are only two which are unassigned
- There are five with PR's close to done, some are already in review
- Might be useful to aim for a release candidate soon (end of this week or early next week)
- Rayle
- Not much to offer on the migration process
- Release notes for the first steps are very accurate
- Now, going through process of evaluating Cornell's customization
- Changed the home page masthead
- Number of other configuration-based changes for the home page
- Will report back after finishing this process
- Bess Sadler also had an App which she wanted to test migrating
- Also, ideally test a migration using Nurax
- Although, this has been kept extremely up-to-date
- Van Tuyl
- Will enquire at Oregon State in order to determine if a migration can also be tested
ACL's in Fedora 5.0
- Colvard is the hydra-head Product Owner
- E-mail sent to the Samvera Tech list
- Fedora 4.x will create WebACLs where authorization is a child (directly contained) within a parent ACL node
- In Fedora 5, using hash URIs within a single ACL node
- Changes things quite a bit, significant migration in the future needed
Code Stability Working Group (Jennifer Lindner)
- Working Group which met for one month, produced a document
- Shared and retrieved feedback for the Document deliverable
- Following any further requests for changes or other feedback, looking to finalize the Document and close the WG
Hyrax Technical Lead Transition
- Mike Giarlo is stepping away from Lead Technical role for Hyrax
- Will still be actively contributing...but not enough time to lead
- Tom Johnson of DCE shall be stepping into this role
- Steve Van Tuyl
- E-mail thread is out on samvera-tech
Samvera Documentation Work Session (Andrew Myers)
- Announced last week, scheduled a session to work through tickets
- Doodle Poll used to schedule for 02:30PM EDT for this Friday (04/13/18)
- Mostly focused upon improving samvera.github.io
- Approximately a 2 hour meeting
