Notes
Hyrax 2.1 Release Update
- Some bugs are still being worked on
- 2.1 will hopefully be released in 3-4 weeks. Another round of QA testing and then more bug fixes are needed.
Sanity check on the proposed solution to https://github.com/samvera/hyrax/issues/2592 (Justin Gondron)
- This PR is intended to fix the problem when flash messages are not displaying for XHR requests.
- Justin would like feedback on his proposed solution. Especially from anyone familiar with Blacklight or Turbolinks.
- He thinks the PR should be on Blacklight instead of Hyrax. This could be a minor release of Blacklight 6.x so the next release of Hyrax can use it.
LDCX and Samvera Dev Congress report back
- Carolyn mentioned the "roadmap/wishlist" that was brainstormed during the developer congress. You can see the list at https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/samvera/March+2018+Developer+Congress+Meeting+Agenda (Look under Friday 9am).
- It's unclear what happens with the roadmap at this point. Probably will be taken up by the Samvera Interest Group for Advising the Hyrax Roadmap (SIGAHR).
- Carolyn noted that the LDCX schedule now has links to notes from the sessions.
- Chris Colvard highlighted the "dry-transaction" branch on Hyrax that was worked on during LDCX.
Documentation Work Session
- This group came out of last year's LDCX
- Tickets on the project board are not being resolved that quickly
- The group is having a difficult time prioritizing this work
- Drew invited anyone who wants to get involved or learn more to attend the group's call on 4/13 (see agenda above for specifics). Or reach out to Drew on Slack.
- The group is using Jekyll for documentation pages
