Meeting Process
Notes
Developer’s Congress follow up
Lots of work on ruby 3 support in core components also includes support for rails 7
Some hyrax-valkyrization work
Valkyrie 3.0 released with full support for ruby 3
Lots of great work going through Hyrax backlog and closing old tickets
Fixed Hyrax flakey tickets
Hyrax maintenance policy released
Great to be with community and lots of good work
Follow-up work: still some gems that still need to be released; Daniel still looking at Hyrax 4.0 release and nurax move then hyrax-valkyrie work
Rebekah will send follow up to samvera-tech list
Heather suggests picking time for next dev congress
Daniel suggests a poll/survey
FYI: MFA getting turned on for rubygems on all core components with these releases so devs will need to have MFA setup in order to push new releases
Bootstrap popovers
Jeremy had helped in slack #dev
Daniel will reach out to Tao
Question: With work being done on Rails 7, will Hyrax move away from webpacker?
Daniel: others have been asking about this recently
Chris thinks Blacklight community has figured out an approach to JS but doesn't remember what it is; importmaps possibly?
Hyrax still needs to figure it out; would be good to get all core components with JS using the same approach
Daniel: Hyrax will need to go to rails 6.1 before thinking about rails 7 so will probably be a while before decision made
