Agenda

  • Partner meeting reflections - Partner meeting shared notes document

    • Good meetings and good engagement from online folks. Easy to hear everyone speaking.

    • Good job of calling them out and pulling out questions from the chat. People in the room joining helped a lot. Best hybrid meeting many have had!

    • Seemless screen sharing, and having facilitators both online and in person

    • liked that there are protocols for hybrid meetings to be intentional about, and we did that this time

    • Will have to wait and see, ask late in the year about budgets for an in person spring partner call in 2026.

    • 2 half day is still the right model

  • EOI for developer training - current state, next steps

    • Will set a time to talk with Mark to meet with Board, grant steering committee

    • Want to talk about sharing curriculum/community ownership

    • Will we have the IMLS funds? Not clear right now

    • Would we switch to an online program? Would need to re-group, re-evaluate the approach based on the funding.

    • Could also with a virtual option could stage it over time. Big thing we lose is the developer bonding experience. But could have some virtual collaboration over weeks, to get to know each other.

    • Primary purpose was to deepen the bench and develop tech lead talent. We want some of the work to be on issues and development in the code -pair programming etc.

    • DSpace does a pre-conference every year at OR, we could also do something like that. Requires people to manage that event. Chris and others would be interested in something like this. Could fund the travel for this with our funds.

    • Something like regional workshops? Could that make it easier? Could pay for travel to regional workshops US/internationally

    • Certified service provider program - next steps in the outreach & engagement group

    • Need to update our Apache license line that is not updated since 2014 - Kate will look into this
