2. March Partner meeting action items review and next steps

   1. 2024 Regional meetings - what do we need to know to get to where we can announce save-the-dates?

      1. Northeast/Developer Congress (Princeton)

         1. Princeton expects to have approval to host the week of October 14a.    

      2. West Coast (UCSB/Softserv)

         1. No update at this time

      3. Midwest (Hyku for Consortia, others?)

         1. Carolyn reported that this group has met. Looking at IUPUI (soon to be IU Indy). Dates September 25-26. Jon Dunn will ensure that there is enough space and book it. Heather offered help for developing a program.

      4. Ideally, dates for the regional meet-ups will be announced at Virtual Connect

      5. The Board will meet next week and will talk with Alberto about options for 2025.

   2. Accessibility Interest Group

      1. Heather thought someone at the Partner meeting took this on as an action item.

      2. Emily Lynema has an accessibility break out planned for Virtual Connect. This might be a good launching place for an AIG. A draft charter would be helpful to have, but that might also come out of conversations at Virtual Connect. Emily is willing to work with others on a charter.
         
         

3. Future Partner call discussion topics

   1. Looking for volunteer facilitators to give a few questions and open to discussion. Could someone volunteer to facilitate one of these for the May 10th meeting?

      1. Cloud experiences and costs

         1. Lots of interest in this

         2. Carolyn and David can talk about AWS - annual costs, architecture, tips for cost savings.

      2. AI/LLM

         1. David Schober has been doing a lot of demos

      3. Research Data Management

         1. Kate and/or Esmé

      4. FAIR principles

      5. Hiring challenges and approaches

4. Welcome our next Hyrax PO; still looking for next Hyrax Tech Lead

   1. Nicholas Homenda from Tufts University will take over from Rebekah Kati November 1.

      1. Nick has taken the Product Owner training and found it very helpful

      2. The Board will be talking about the Tech Lead role next week, considering how to reconfigure it, and to provide training

      3. After that, Heather will send out a new call for the position
         
         

5. Other Updates: 

   1. Sign up to present (5 - 30 minutes) at a future Partner call  

   2. Hyrax and Hyku development updates;

      1. Next week is a Hyrax maintenance group sprint.  GA work and review PRs from Softserv re: migration work. Watch for updates. Notes on Hyrax IG earlier this week.

   3. Samvera Virtual Connect May 7-8 - registration is open and program is available

      1. Great program. Spread the word about signups

   4. Developer Congress May 13-17

      1. This is an unconference style event

   5. Please consider volunteering for the Julie Allinson Award Selection Committee! 

      1. This involves 2-3 meetings and reviewing applications

   6. Filling Samvera Board vacant seat (2 year term)
