2. Hyrax Valkyrization Sprint updates (Kevin, Daniel)

   1. Final updates from SoftServ pledge funded sprint

      1. Accomplished milestone 1

      2. Estimated $50-100K, objectives to milestone. Including testing, leases and embargos. Fully functional version of hyrax.

         1. Testing suite will be simpler when/if Active Fedora is retired

   2. Upcoming release candidate

      1. 5.0

   3. Community Sprints started this week https://github.com/samvera/hyrax/projects/20

      1. Anyone interested in helping test and can join the Hyrax maintenance Working Group sprint, see #hyrax-wg channel in Slack

      2. Surfliner team

   4. Budgetwise - final report next week

      1. Hours were close to $100K.

      2. Happy to invoice for contributions

      3. Set-up for Valkyrie work

      4. GBH has started a partnership for that.

      5. Reach out to Kevin for more information to help people valkyrize.

3. Samvera Connect 2023 updates

   1. Registration is open, with Early Bird pricing through September 23rd

   2. Please use the conference hotel for your reservations if at all possible

   3. Posters and lightning talks open through September 1st – plenty of space for additional posters and talks

   4. Committee still looking at organizing an optional walking tour for a small fee; offering t-shirts for purchase online as during virtual conferences in past years

   5. Looking for a graphic designer to do the T-shirts.
      
      

4. Hyrax Fedora 6 Working Group (Jon)

   1. Figure out what remaining work would need to happen to migrate and work on Fedora 6.

   2. To determine scope, form working group.

   3. Emory and Rebekah and Daniel and lead developer at Lyrassis (missed his name)

   4. Formal call for participation next week

   5. BIG PROPS to Rosy.
      
      

5. Samvera Partner meeting at Samvera Connect, Thursday, October 26th

   1. Unordered agenda to start planning items for our in person meeting

   2. Half day
      
      

6. General community temperature check/request for feedback (Heather)

   1. What would be helpful going into the fall? Reminders, information, assistance, etc.

   2. How can I best support your work for the remainder of the year?

   3. Planning a community survey alongside Connect to help plan for next year

   1. Call for Partner call demos for September, November, December

   2. Julie Allinson Award deadline extended through August 15th

   3. Please review and update your entries in the Samvera repositories list – just make your updates in this spreadsheet and Heather will add them to the wiki. Most important are solution used, link to repo, link to GitHub, migration if applicable

   4. Please vote in the Samvera Board special election; ballots sent to Partner representatives

   5. SoftServ Samvera Developer Training Workshops are still open for this fall

   6. Working Group activities update: Samvera website refresh work; knowledge base revamp; cloud deployment survey
