    1. Slides

    2. Recording of presentation: https://youtu.be/y3mBgAfViV0

  4. Save the dates for the Spring 2024 in-person Partner meeting at Northwestern University

    1. Northwestern is holding Tuesday, March 19th - Thursday, March 21st, 2024. Are there preferences for which days to meet?

  5. Budget report: 2023 and 2024

    1. Final Connect 2023 costs

    2. 2024 budget

  6. Hyrax Valkyrization Updates

    1. Hyrax 5 release candidate 2 passed the user acceptance testing spreadsheet. Still chipping away at specs, addressing failures. Huge thank you to Brad and Ayoub from Emory for helping Daniel with this for the last several weeks! This is the last week of the Maintenance Working Group Sprint; next sprint starts January 22nd with a Developer Congress.

    2. The Sirenia dev app (Valkyrie-only Hyrax with Fedora 6 metadata and storage adapters) is functional and Rebekah has done some user testing on it. We're still waiting for Fedora to get a release out that enables a pair tree identifier config option, which should be 6.5.

    3. Where is the work for the metadata migration adapter, migrating to Postgres, etc.?

      1. SoftServ did the work that allowed Hyrax to go through Valkyrie to Somewhere Else - in this case, Postgres.

      2. We have a migration path from Fedora 4 to Postgres for anything that doesn’t have files, which has already been implemented with GBH.

      3. Princeton added file versioning support. Fixity checking is still missing but expected in a 5.x release. The migration of filesets and files needs to be implemented but is part of the sprint the Board authorized to take place in December or January.

      4. We still need to make sure that filesets work with Valkyrie and fix the specs up on the new adapters (SoftServ) and get the specs green for koppie (Princeton). Once that is done there will be a fully working adapter for Fcrepo 4 to Postgres (Freyja) and an untested but likely fairly close to working adapter for Fcrepo 4 to Fcrepo 6 (Frigg).

      5. An institution will need to complete a Fcrepo 4 to Fcrepo 6 migration either with an internal dev team or through consultants. This will likely kick out any remaining bugs and really prove the process to the community. There is now a model in place on how this works, but it needs to be adapted for Fedora 6 – the Fedora 6 Working Group is focused on finding volunteers to plan for this work.

  7. Other Updates:

    1. Samvera Board Election - Partner representatives, please submit you ballot by Dec 15th

    2. Save the date for the Samvera Spring In-person Partner Meeting – Northwestern University will kindly host us again

    3. Samvera Board proposal coming in 2024, for 2025 - 5% Partner dues increase

    4. OR2024 call for proposals - deadline is Dec 15th

    5. Hyrax Valkyrization - passed user acceptance testing spreadsheet. Still chipping away at specs, addressing failures. Huge thank you to Brad and Ayoub from Emory for helping Daniel with this for the last several weeks! This is the last week of the Maintenance Working Group Sprint; next sprint starts January 22nd with a Developer Congress.

    6. Maintenance pledge drive open

Anything for the Samvera Board? (Standing item)
