The Metadata Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Working Group met on April 7, 2014 and May 13, 2014. The April meeting focused on RDF, with James Van Mil providing an overview of the work of the RDF WG as well as new features in ActiveFedora. The May meeting focused on reviewing a drafted metadata profile for datasets. In addition to the Metadata SMEs standing members, Sherry Lake from UVa participated in this call and provided feedback on the profile. FINDINGS

Dataset Metadata:

DatasetMetadata.pdfĀ is a metadata profile for datasets including recommendations for field repeatability, and support for controlled vocabularies. This profile assumes a data package model, in which submissions must contain at least two datafiles, including a "readme" file and a file (or multiple files) of data.
