Community Building (aka Social) events

We have arranged to put on a number of Community Building (aka Social) events before and after the main days of the conference. 

The events will generally take place 45 minutes before the start of the day's presentations (a 30 minute event followed by a 15 minute break) and approximately 15 minutes after the end of the day's presentations.  

Friday October 23, 10:15AM (2 Simultaneous Events)

EVENT: Mentor/Mentee/Newcomer tables

DESCRIPTION: Are you a senior community member or looking for advice to get to know the community better or a newbie to Samvera Connect? It is time to get together and meet at the Mentor/Mentee/Newcomer tables for 30 minutes. 

EVENT: Randomized breakouts

DESCRIPTION: Do you want to chat with other Samverans randomly? This half hour is for you to have that talk over some ice-breaking questions or anything you come up with. Be ready to be surprised, to meet someone new or even learn something new.

DESCRIPTION: A networking event for all Samverans who have experienced exclusion in a traditionally masculine work environment. We'll use randomly-assigned breakout rooms to connect and reconnect with one another. Expect to chat in 2 or 3 different small groups.

We have changed the format of Tuesday's sessions. Instead of individual sessions we will have one large group. Come and hang out with us!

If there are enough folks, we'll break it out into smaller groups.
