  4. Ongoing Digital Preservation activities
    1. University of Hull, London
      1. Report from conference ‘Investing in Opportunity: Policy Practice and Planning for a Sustainable Digital Future’ (DPC and 4C)
        1. Chris reported on a successful DPC/4C workshop with the focus on collaboration within Digital Preservation. At the workshop it was desisted to make a forum on collaboration within Digital Preservation. The idea is to have an ongoing discussion during a week for 6 consecutive weeks with new topic each week.

        2. DPC awards now on DPC’s web page, one of the winders was the Emulation project from University of Freiburg.

    2. The Royal Library, Copenhagen, Denmark:
      1. Status of ePub and pdf characterisation
      2. Status of the Hydra implementation
        1. New versions of the administration and preservation platforms are being release tested next week, after which they will go into production.

      3. A new interest group on emulation has been started under The Open Preservation Foundation (OPF).

    1. University of York have started an UK interest group on Archivematica which has links to Hydra.

    2. Hull plans to investigate how Hydra and Archivematica can work together within the near future.
