Status

Scope & Objectives

Chartered by the Samvera Marketing Working Group, the Website Migration Working Group will assist the Community Manager in moving the samvera.org website from Wordpress to GitHub pages. This will allow for easier website management and reduce costs.

 

Deliverables & Timeframe

The Working Group will:

  • Evaluate migration options

  • Create a migration plan for the website

  • Enact the migration plan to move the website to hosting on the Samvera GitHub repository

  • Review and refine the website design in consultation with the Marketing Working Group

  • Document the ongoing maintenance needed for the website

The goal for completion of this work is September 2022.

Meeting Times & Communication Channels

On the agenda of the first meeting, which will be scheduled following a doodle poll made available to interested community members, will be the decision about meeting frequency and meeting schedule. The group will communicate via email and a dedicated Slack channel.
