Samvera Roadmaps Working Group

Scope & Objectives

The Roadmaps Working Group works to develop, maintain, and identify opportunities for cross-collaboration between the roadmaps of Hyrax, Hyku, and Avalon. This group works in consultation with the Metadata Interest Group and Samvera Service Providers. The Group works from a shared Roadmaps document to track and align maintenance and feature priorities across the three platforms. 

This group reports to the Samvera Board quarterly and has been chartered in some form since April 2018.

Roadmaps Alignment Group meets monthly for 30 minutes.

Members

In order to facilitate communication with various entities within the Samvera community, the Group includes the following Community Roles:

• Tech Leads or Technical Coordinators and Product owners of the community platforms (Avalon, Hyrax, Hyku)

• 1 Representative from the Metadata Interest Group

• 1 Representative from a Samvera Service Provider

• The Samvera Community Manager

• Any other interest group representatives who would live to join

The Group itself and/or the Samvera Board may recommend adjustments to the membership to reflect changes in the community. If another interest group would like to include a representative, just contact the Community Manager to add them to the calendar invite.
