  • Status of Hyrax 5.1 release

    • 5.1.0.pre.beta1 now available

    • All tests consistently passing, and QA testing is good for PG, F6, and AF works on F4

    • The handful of problems found in QA are mostly Valkyrie resources on F4 via Wings

      • Open PR for #7001, breakage in all FileSetsController actions (i.e. FS versions etc.)

      • Incorrect handling of ordered members in Valkyrie resource via Wings on F4, results in bugs like #7012

    1. After call, this week's notetaker should create the agenda for the next call:

      1. Open template agenda titled "Samvera Tech Call XXXX-XX-XX"

      2. Click on ... in the top right corner, and select copy.

      3. Popup will open for location. It should contain:

        1. Space: Samvera

        2. Parent page: 2024

      4. Select copy. New page should be created.

      5. Modify the title to remove "copy of", update it with the next date, add moderator, notetaker, and any carry-over agenda info. Click Publish.

  1. Hyrax 5.1 Status @Randall Floyd

    1. 5.1.0-beta1 released

    2. Includes Fedora 6 support, dependency upgrade to ruby 3.3, rails 7.2

    3. Problems with valkyrie wings objects

    4. Issues with ordered membership in wings objects. Issues had been raised in the past on this, but closed without merges addressing the issue. (wings persister: ordered properties · Issue #3674 · samvera/hyrax )

      1. Wings tries to apply members directly to AF object when it should be using ordered_members

      2. Wings code may have relied on AF handling setting of ordered members?

    5. Hyku is testing a fix around using freyja/frigg and sipity entities to address incorrect casting of objects.

    6. Does Fedora 6 retain order of multiple values?

  2. Nurax servers are being updated @Daniel Pierce

    1. Still uses Terraform or OpenTofu

    2. Will run dassie/koppie/sirenia directly

    3. May prompt moving to debian based container image due to issues with gprc gem

  3. Working on release notes for Hyku 6.1 @Rob Kaufman
