Documentation Interest Group
Scope & Objectives
This Interest Group will identify, discuss, and share documentation needs for any tools or platforms in the Samvera Community. Documentation can be for anyone who is looking to install, manage, deposit, update, etc. across all platforms. End user documentation is not the primary focus of this Group, but could be taken on if the Group chooses to do so.
This Group will use any of the following strategies for documentation:
Identifying documentation that is out of date, confusing, hard to find, or nonexistent;
Documenting these needs on the documentation GitHub project board;
Communicating open issues to the community and finding the right volunteers to correct or complete documentation;
Bring identified and described documentation needs to Developer Congresses, community sprints, maintenance groups, or documentation-focused events.
Meeting Times & Communication Channels
This Group meets once per month on the third Tuesday, at 2:30PM ET/11:30AM PT. Will start with a 30 minute call and can extend in the future if needed.
Documentation needs for consideration can also be brought to the weekly tech call, or added to the documentation project board, or shared in the #documentation channel in the Samvera Slack workspace.
This Group will also use the samvera-tech list for meeting reminders and samvera-community for sharing results and calls for documentation.
