Review and discuss

• Follow up: asked the Repository Management IG for feedback re: the kb

  • General reaction: some found it useful. As long as the info gets put somewhere else accessible, they’re fine with the kb itself being sunset

• Decide how to move forward with Phase 3

  • Move all kb content to Confluence?

    • Easily editable by those with access

    • Publicly accessible to everyone

      • Public pages are/will be indexed and discoverable by Google

    • Update as we go. Or at least mark things as outdated

      • Should link to other technical locations (GitHub Wikis, etc.)

    • Might have a knowledge base template

    • Can possibly build sections using labels

    • Longevity of Confluence

      • Free for open source communities

      • Has export options

Next steps for pattern and practice guidance

• Heather will make first pass at moving the “New? Start here” section over

  • The rest of us will wait for follow up on structure of new kb, etc.

• Next meeting

  • Walk through Samvera Knowledge Base Breakdown and decide which page’s info is going where (new kb, GitHub Wiki, etc.)
