  • Hyrax Maintenance Working Group update - Julie Hardesty and Daniel Pierce

    • Hyrax Product Owner transition (Julie to Rebekah Kati, UNC-Chapel Hill)

      • Rebekah will take over the HMWG after Connect. Julie and Rebekah have been meeting and discussing work in progress, project boards, and processes. 

    • Hyrax 4.0.0beta1 update

      • This is out! Applied to nurax-dev. Have discovered some issues in the current community effort that are connected to the 4.0 release that will need to be addressed for a release candidate.

      • Beta2 expected before a release candidate. Chris Colvard has a PR (#5850) out for nested collections indexing issues. Would also be backported to Hyrax 3. Chris deletes several hundred lines of code in this – this is all done in Solr graph query parser instead.

      • Daniel will be getting beta 2 out ASAP after current community effort

      • Question: what do we know about new bootstrap issues? Small things that need to be addressed in beta2. Small functional issues.

  • Topics and Projects

    • Hyrax-Valkyrization Community Effort, September 6-16

      • On the 2nd week, last day Friday. Some movement on embargo and lease issues, active work ready for review centered around viewing and deleting files. Also outstanding derivative issues Daniel is working on. Some things ready for review looking at subcollections. Hoping to head to QA testers. Will know at the end of the day Friday if this is ready for a beta.
