Notes

5.0 RC2 is out. Doing some cleanup and small changes. Emory has been helping out on the maintenance working group sprint again, which has been helpful.

RCs are usually just small changes but these are sometimes more significant because of trying to get the specs running in Valkyrie. There may be double work happening with the Valkyrie migration branch. Daniel will take a look at that branch.

New energy in the Hyrax codebase recently, which is exciting.

Post Valkyrization Work

  • working on the adapters for Fedora and Postgres

  • Fix the Analytics

  • Rails upgrades

  • Sunset ActiveFedora

  • IIIF Viewer enhancements

    • Swapability

    • Update UV version

    • Maybe make RIIIF more optional and give guidance for serverless-iiif

Developer Congress

  • Bulkrax promoted out of Labs and into official repo

  • Updated container documentation to include Serenia

  • Testing of Hyrax 5rc2

  • Documentation consolidation work

  • gif support in RIIIF was started

  • Generator meta tag was added

Developer onboarding meeting will meet today to discuss documentation migration

Hyrax Fedora Working Group

serenia and frigg work are causing reevaluation of the charter

next meeting before the end of the year

Hyku Updates

Release badly over due

  • will include sso

  • will include initial iiif-print work

Looking at Ahoy for analytics

Circle CI → Github Actions migration

Budgeted to be done by end of February

Seems to have enough support to be done

Next meeting is December 13th
