• Avalon to Ruby 3.1 and Rails 7.0

• UCSD still working on authentication with Docker

  • Both SAML and Shib implementation giving errors

  • Going to try Google Auth today to see if it works

  • Move to Docker did add complexity

  • Would be good to document - there are 2 things that would be useful to document more - Thor will try to help with this

    • SSL setup for Docker container (this has been asked 4-5 times historically on list)

• Faster, more frequent updates can be easier to keep up with than really large updates that come infrequently (UCSD)
