Notes

  1. New sprint starts today to update Rails and Ruby support.

    1. How to build in automated compatibility checking?

    2. Was mentioned yesterday to stand up vanilla Hyrax to just handle compatibility reporting.

    3. Daniel Pierce:

      1. Docker container wasn’t updated with new Ruby version.

      2. Required a bug fix to get there.

      3. Bug was tied to Alpine Linux that Docker uses.

      4. Moved away from Alpine, but this increases compile time.

      5. What was posix-spawn’s use? Old requirement.

  2. PRs?

    1. #6984: should we ping the creating user?

    2. Daniel’s concurrent-ruby PR will be needed to transition to newer Ruby version.

  3. Calls for help?

    1. Question about jump to Rails 8 for Hyku. Hyrax will need a Javascript refactoring to get there.

  4. Next Meeting:

    1. Moderator: @Randall Floyd

    2. Notetaker: @Daniel Pierce
