Any upcoming updates to discuss?

• Avalon - reworking media player to RAMP, working in IIF. Work on speedy_af gem. Working to support for more recent versions of Solr for 8-9, and upgrading to Fedora 6. Focus on the user interface.

• Hyrax - Softserv finished their work, on week 2 of community sprit with Surfliner, a lot of movement on closing the board. Daniel is looking at nurax-pg image viewer issue. Also need a Hyrax 4 out soon with Google Analytics 4. Working on rc for Hyrax 5, but need people to be able to see it on nurax-pg – it has some misconfiguration.

• Metadata group has been comparing notes on Bulkrax use. This could be bubbling up as something that is still in Labs, and needs to be promoted. Could be a good discussion for this group.

Revisiting our charter: how can this group help move forward our post-valkyrization technical strategizing?

• Things to think about:

  • planning for active fedora support schedule

  • Bulkrax integration

  • Fedora 6 work support

  • Hyrax tech lead and PO turnover in mid-2024

  • Ruby release at the end of the year

  • Development fund/pledging

  • Technical goals, and how we can implement
