Hello Samvera technologists,

{insert information about the current Developer Congress -dates, focus, a link to the event homepage on the wiki}

What is a Developer Congress? This is a time when developers in the Samvera community come together and focus on some interesting and/or necessary work. It is also a time for us to share knowledge and mentor each other. At a Developer Congress topics are freely proposed by participants and groups form around them during the Congress to move them forward.

At previous Congresses, developers have worked on community projects such as Browse Everything, Hyrax / Wings, and expanding collection functionality in Hyrax. Groups have also collaborated on React components and design discussions.

The Developer Congress is powered by our ideas, so please start thinking about what you want to work on and enter your topic on theĀ Topic List wiki page.

Who is it for? Anyone who writes code or software documentation.

What will you need? Youā€™ll want to have a mostly clear calendar for the working hours of DATE. Youā€™ll need a computer, an internet connection, and a free Slack account for theĀ Samvera workspace. Most groups will be video conferencing and screen sharing; some options for facilitating collaboration are listed on theĀ Co-development Technologies wiki page. T

We look forward to seeing you at the Samvera Developer Congress!

Sincerely,
