Doc Days of Summer - Documentation Sprint Days

Doc Days of Summer - Documentation Sprint Days

Join us this summer for one-day documentation sprints in which community members come together virtually to work on documentation projects, both identifying documentation that is missing or outdated, and creating documentation based on identified needs.

Participants at all levels of community experience are welcome to participate. You can simply join the Zoom room using the link below. There are set check in times but feel free to join at any time.

If you have any questions not answered here, feel free to contact a facilitator or post your question in the #documentation Slack channel.

Documentation Sprint Board

The Documentation Working Group hosts a documentation project board on GitHub. We’ll use this board to capture documentation issues and select issues to work on. If you’re not sure what you’d like to work on, you can join at a check in time for help.

August 1, 2025

August 11, 2025

  • completed issue: https://github.com/samvera/hyku/issues/2557

  • decided content that is currently in markdown pages in the "documentation" folder in the hyrax repo, will be converted into Wiki pages in the Hyrax Github wiki. Details in: Convert static documentation to gh wiki pages.

  • made 2 drafts in Doc-Tasks board, to ticket work that Doc Day participants brought up: GH wiki draft (above), and:

  • in Hyrax Doc Wrangling sheet, added status for “complete” pages from Hyrax GitHub Wiki

  • in Hyrax Confluence Documentation, renamed pages & child pages within the: Information for documentation creators to match the locations/sections outlined in the Hyrax Documentation Wrangling spreadsheet. Purpose of this change: consistency between Confluence pages and the naming pattern used in the spreadsheet, & avoid confusion from numbered page names that could look like Hyrax version numbering

    • Top-level pages in this section are now A,B,C,D,E:

      • A. Hyrax Overview

        B. Hyrax Resources for Repository Administrators

        C. Hyrax Resources for Content Managers

        D. Hyrax Resources for Repository Contributors

        E. Hyrax Resources for Developers
