  1. Hyrax and Hyku release updates

    1. Hyrax with Fedora 6 backend released, ready for testing next week: https://f6.nurax.samvera.org/
      Next sprint dates: April 14-25, 2025; expecting release

      1. Nick Homenda - will reach out if additional testing needs arise

    2. Hyku: staging and demo sites couldn’t be hosted on Samvera DNS dues to issues with bot protection software, so they have their own URL

      1. 6.1 rc is up on Github

        1. Hyku Staging and Demo environments are up

      2. 6.2 (flexible metadata)- Notch8 working to get RC together - currently in testing

      3. Reach out to @Nic Don Stanton-Roark (nic@palni.edu or Samvera slack) to get a login to Staging or Demo environment!



  2. Developer Training Camp

    1. DCE approved, contract in progress. Open to hosting institutions; based on feedback, looking to schedule in September/early October. Will open call for participants once the contract is complete. Tuition is paid for by Samvera funds with institutional commitment to maintenance sprint participation.

      1. Met with IMLS sustainability group, good feedback, moving forward!

      2. Minneapolis is the location

    2. Roadmap Alignment Update

      1. Roadmap alignment summit scheduled for May 1st

      2. Asking for your help: roadmap examples, processes you have seen that work well particularly for planning across projects

    3. Samvera Virtual Connect 2025 - registration and agenda

      1. 70 people registered so far

      2. Lots of other promotion channels suggested - Heather to provide boilerplate announcement

      3. Will be recorded / added to samvera youtube channel.

    4. Hyku Sustainability IMLS grant update

      1. Moving forward

      2. Many termination notices going out

      3. Some funds are frozen

      4. Due to funding difficulties, exploring and pursuing some funding methods (community coinvestment strategies, philanthropic paths)

    5. May Developer and Documentation sprints

      1. Signups coming after Samvera Connect

      2. Looking for new format for development / documentation sprints

    6. Samvera Connect 2025 Mexico City - call for program committee members

      1. Current plan: call for proposals in May, registration opens in June, program available in July

      2. Lots of ways to make it cost-effective, e.g. ColMex cafeteria = $2 pp lunches! (also delicious)

      3. Also, going to Mexico avoids US customs for international folks.

    7. Data Repository Survey - draft

      1. Survey asks for Samvera technologies and non-Samvera technologies information - what was implemented, how the decision was made

      2. What is the end goal for this kind of survey? What is the action or decision?

      3. Would be better served by a different method?

        1. Kirsten: wouldn’t mind having a standard format for folks PALs talk to in the market

        2. Paul Walk: Let’s get sufficient information on the “state of the art” with regard to the larger IR market to inform the survey.

        3. Heather: Nick H. has done a lot of work on Hyrax vs. Invenio - will share

    8. Websites/wiki updates, archiving, and branding refresh in progress

      1. Kate volunteered on Samvera site help! Thank you

      2. Lots of confluence updates / archiving of old / out-of-date stuff

    9. British Library funding update

      1. Lost their funding for “Infrastructure for Arts and Humanities” (IDA? IAH?)

      2. AHRC didn’t agree with the panel - wants BL to re-submit / appeal decisions

      3. Drinking slightly less, now that she could share the unfortunate news.

    10. Crowdfunding Hyku7

      1. Nick to put together clear deliverables and costs, send to Heather
