Workshops are free but must be selected when you register for Samvera Connect 2022. Workshops have limited seats and are first come, first serve with waitlists available.

Samvera Technologies for Non-Developers

Join us for a deep dive into Samvera technologies. This 90 minute workshop will introduce you to Samvera technologies, how development work happens in the community, and how you can contribute to the Community without ever writing a line of code. This session is designed for repository managers, librarians, and others who are potentially interested in or currently involved in the Samvera Community at any level.

Running Hyrax Locally

Join this workshop if you are interested in running a Hyrax-based web application locally for testing or development purposes. Participants will work through Docker setup and different ways to retrieve and run the Hyrax code in a local Docker container. Feature testing spreadsheet will also be shared for steps to take to try out various features of a common Hyrax-based application.

Participants will need a laptop with ability to run Docker Desktop that can have 60G of space, 8G of memory, and 4 CPUs applied when Docker is running.
