Overview

The Samvera Governance Working Group is dedicated to creating a sustainable Governance model for the management and oversight of the Samvera Community and related technologies.

Charter

Can be found on the child page: Samvera Governance WG Charter.  Below is the timeline as outlined in the charter.

  • Complete a discussion summary document that provides context of the work done to date by Friday, January 19th, 2018

  • Circulate the summary document to the community on Monday, January 29th, 2016
  • Draft and initial governance proposal by Friday, February 16th, 2018

  • Solicit community input on the governance proposal between Monday, February 19th - Friday, March 2nd, 2018

  • Complete a revised proposal incorporating stakeholder feedback by Monday, March 12th, 2018

  • Circulate a final proposal to the community between Monday, March 12, 2018 - Monday, April 2nd, 2018

  • Hold a community vote to take place within 2 weeks of the Spring 2018 Partner Meeting.

  • Adopt a governance model.
