Browsing and Searching

Within your tenant (or instance if you don’t have multiple tenants) there are many ways to Discover items from the public view, including:

  • Clicking on featured collections or creators on the landing or home page. These are customized by admin and may change

  • Using one or more facet (left side of screen) to narrow down the topic. These vary on instance

  • Searching for terms using the search box present on all pages. Note: Advanced search gem can be added, but is not in core code.

Once you have results you can continue to filter and modify the view:

  • Facets - Facets allow filtering of search results by type, creator, language, and more. You can select multiple filters for your search.

  • Pills - Pills help visualize active filters for the User. To remove any filters, click the “X” on the filter in the “Filtering by” section.

  • Start Over - Clicking the “Start Over” link resets all filters back to a “search all” result.

  • View Options

    • Sorting - Results can be sorted by relevance, date uploaded, and date modified.

    • Pagination - Results per page can be set to 10, 20, 50, or 100.

    • View - Users can select list view, gallery view, mosaic view, or slideshow. List is the default.
