    • When a user clicks on ‘IU Media Collections Online’ in Canvas, they are passed through to Avalon show a set of items authorized for that course

    • To add an item to a course in Avalon, go to Edit → Access Control → Assign special access and add the Canvas Course ID as an External Group. Can use Begin Date and End Date for a semester.

    • Faculty fill out a form to request that Library staff add items to the course in Avalon.

    • This is not custom to IU, but is available to all institutions with configuration.
