Work Show Pages - Final Final Review
We compared a version of the wireframes incorporating dt's suggested changes with the existing wireframe representation. The following are the areas discussed with our recommendation of the changes to make/accept.
section:
move Items label to a gray collapse/expand bar
Items section expanded by default
all other sections collapsed by default
widgets:
add sort to widgets (default include sort by: label, type, upload date, modify date) - ascending | descending
for 7.0 hardcode list; for 7.1 consider configuring sort options
remove show/hide icons and move them to be show all metadata | hide all metadata links just above the list
remove selection list with show all, show works only, show files only NOTE: handle this by sorting by type. Reverse sorting by type will group Works together near the top of the list
table:
remove column labels NOTE: requires sort selection list by other widgets
remove type and date columns (maybe move, see item details)
item details:
move Type under title
should dates also be under title?
for 7.0 hardcode to type and possibly dates; for 7.1 consider configuring which fields to display under title
actions:
reorder icons to: preview, download, stats (and right justify)
remove metadata icon and add as link in bottom-right corner (link text: show metadata or hide metadata depending on display state of metadata for that item)
remove green from download icon
edge cases:
when 0 items, should Items section appear at all? (could be confusing for users if it is on some pages and not others)
for 7.0, Items section will be expanded and have statement "No items in this work."; revisit in 7.1
should other collapsible sections be hidden if they don't have any content?
for 7.0, other sections will be collapsed and have statement "No ____ in this work."; revisit in 7.1
ACTION: If the group accepts the recommendations, all the wireframes need to be updated to match.

User Testing
Sonya volunteered to spear head development of a set of user tests. It is recommended that 3 institutions will perform the same set of user tests. If they all come back with the same results, then we can have a high degree of confidence that the results are not institution specific and will apply to the broader community. If they come back really different, then we may need to revisit.
