  2. Discussion: Robin Lindley Ruggaber will give her presentation from Open Repositories 2024, “Appalachian Research and Value for the Greater Good” and lead a discussion about supporting under-resourced regional institutions and similar partnerships.

    1. Excellent presentation from Robin!

    2. Would like to tell the UVA and British Library story directly on Samvera channels. UVA story would be excellent as a video story.

    3. Would like to reach Deans with these stories

    4. Robin in interested in hearing from anyone who has had grant opportunities for similar projects. Suggestions for Mellon and Arcadia.

  3. Regional Meetings - updates and planning needs

    1. Midwest

      1. CFP soon (hopefully within next 7-10 days)

      2. Registration opening soon

      3. Hotel and travel info posted

      4. PALNI and IU are funding it

    2. Northeast

      1. Because of hotel availability, we're making some changes to the schedule, with DevOps4Lib being at the same time as the Samvera Northeast Regional meeting (10/14-10/15), and the Blacklight Summit moving to Wednesday, 10/16

      2. The Samvera Northeast Regional Meeting dates are unchanged (10/14-10/15)

    3. West Coast Oct 9-10

      1. Registration launching soon

    4. Europe - Oxford and British Library have expressed interest in working together to host something at Oxford the week of October 21st

    5. No fall Partner in-person meeting - could have a virtual Partner meeting after the regional meetings, or devote November 8th or December 13th meeting to discussion of regional meeting outcomes and next steps

  4. Other Updates: 

    1. Sign up to present or facilitate a topic (5 - 30 minutes) at a future Partner call

    2. Nominations open for the Julie Allinson Award 2024

    3. OR2024 Samvera-related presentations

      1. 166 contributions from OR2024 are now uploaded to the OR Community in Zenodo

    4. Hyrax and Hyku development updates

      1. August 14th Hyrax Interest Group meeting: Frigg/Freya Q&A with Rob

      2. Please consider pledging hours to the Hyrax Maintenance Working Group this summer/fall so we can complete needed upgrades in a timely manner, and address identified accessibility issues.
