Notes

2b. User Account creation in Hyku (Giarlo): question re handling user account creation: allow open sign-up? propose: making the default not to allow open sign-up. Instead, admins add users, or hook up Hyku to institutional single-sign-on (all provided by the Devise gem). Suggestion to use environment variable to control it.

2c. Indexing Embargos and Leases (Joe Atzberger): in indexing, need to track visibility state, with changing status, which all needs to control visibility. Solr now provided date-range field which could be used to index visibility. (Have PR https://github.com/samvera/hydra-head/pull/418 in Hydra Head). Could be used to track different periods of visibility (e.g. an item that is visible for this July and next July: date-range fields get around problem of a single start-date and a single end-date). We think it's worth pursuing

2d Arkivio (Zotero plugin): is anyone using it? Does it work? https://github.com/inukshuk/arkivo - Penn State provides it, not sure if anyone is using it; Oregon State found problems. Will follow with documentation.

2e. FileSet titles and filenames: in Hyrax, can upload new version of a file, but the displayed filename does not change even if your new version had a different filename (i.e. you're replacing the content, not the metadata). ScholarSphere has fixed this (label gets updated to new filename). Note that user can change the title in the form; shouldn't overwrite title that the user set. Further discussion needed for the implications of managing title and label in this context; Giarlo will facilitate.
