- Problems with proposed method of "related files" in PCDM (Drew)
- Looking at https://github.com/duraspace/pcdm/wiki/Related-Files and seeing some challenges with that approach
- Worth revisiting whether we should use a different predicate, or whether RDF technical metadata and XML technical metadata ought to be modeled differently
- Andrew Myers to revise the above page with his experiences, and otherwise let the FileSets WG take this on
- PCDM Tech call tomorrow (Giarlo)
- If you're interested in the development of PCDM, please feel free to join the new monthly calls. First one is tomorrow.
- Call details: https://github.com/duraspace/pcdm/wiki/September-1,-2016
- CC PR that renames "rights" field to "license" (Coyne)
- No data migration needed
- Will require re-indexing of fields since the solr key is changing
- Action Item: interested parties should put counter-proposals on the ticket
- Remove follower/following feature from Sufia? (Giarlo)
- It's being proposed for removal because 1) it's lightly used, and 2) the gem that powers this feature is now unmaintained
- Penn State is looking into taking on maintenance of this feature/gem. If they decide that it's best for this to make its way out of Sufia, Mike will write this up for the Hydra-Tech list.
- Admin access to repo objects: ability or WebAC? (Giarlo)
- Tabled until next week
- Proposal to get https://github.com/projecthydra/curation_concerns/pull/901 passing (with a hydra-pcdm release?) and merge it. (Pendragon)
- Group OKed putting out a hydra-pcdm release
- Trey Pendragon to write hydra-tech about ramifications of merged this CC PR that reverses the directionality of memberships (for performance)
- Since we have not yet released a Sufia 7.x release with upgrade tooling, this could work for Sufia users too.
- Mike deferred to Penn State, Alberta, and CHF here who have been independently working on upgrades
- Moderator/notetaker for next time:
- Moderator: cam156
- Notetaker: Esmé Cowles
