OR14 Helsinki
Whilst there were many Hydra-based presentations at OR13, this was not obvious in the program. Reading the program (only) one might have been forgiven for thinking Hydra was dead in the water.
For OR14:
- presentations need "Hydra" in the title, if at all possible; we should perhaps solicit some papers ahead of time to try and ensure an overall shape to the Hydra content (understanding that we don't control which papers will be accepted)
- we should try to influence the structure of the User Group sessions so that Hydra has a definite time block (which it can organise itself?) but not in competition with Islandora
- need to tailor and focus information so that people can clearly choose the sessions "for them". Shouldn't assume that a manager focussed session is necessarily useful to devs or vice versa.
- the workshop training agenda should be clear and have carefully spelled out pre-requisites
- Hydra Partners should have an "Ask me about Hydra" badge
- we should have a real awards ceremony
- we should have something akin to the Edinburgh bookmark which identifies all the Hydra content in the OR program
