Hotel Accomodations

20 rooms are secured for the Hydra Partners meeting from Sept 7-10th, at the "Hilton Orrington/Evanston" which is about 3 blocks from the Library and right on the edge of campus.

The rate we secured is $142 a night. The hotel will secure the block until August 29th.  August 17th (but we think they will extend it to August 22nd if that becomes an issue).

ROOM RESERVATION PROCEDURES FOR HYDRA PARTNERS MEETING:
Individuals will call to make their own reservations. Reservations can be made by calling Hilton Central Reservations at 1-800-HILTONS (1-800-445-8667). Please notify attendees to identify themselves as being with the "Hydra Conference" to receive the discounted group rate of $142 per night. To confirm a guest reservation, Hilton Orrington/Evanston requires a guarantee of the first night’s room rate and tax, which may be provided by credit card. This also guarantees the reservation for late arrival. Reservations may be cancelled without penalty provided that the hotel is notified a minimum of 24 hours in advance of the confirmed arrival date, by 3:00PM, CST.

For those who want to stay until Sept 11th
Both Evanston Hiltons are sold out for 9/10 and 9/11. (It is during student move in and a football game)
 
We were able to get a small allotment at the Homestead for the nights of 9/7 – through and including the night of 9/10.  We have a room block for 3 Queen bedded rooms and 2 twin bedded rooms at $95.00 + tax. They can only hold them in the block until Aug. 7 at which time they go back to their open inventory. People can still call, but no guarantee the rooms will be there after the 7th.  To receive the NU rate they have to reserve via phone at (847) 475-3300 and ask for the NU Library “Hydra” rate.http://www.thehomestead.net/
