  • Nick will update the Hyrax draft VPAT with information on the testing having happened

  • Christine can then start the Hyku VPAT next

  • Has the ability to swap out the AV player in Hyrax come up as a request? The player it ships with is not great specifically for support of captions.

  • Many institutions have been asking about why they cannot have caption/transcripts/other Avalon features for accessibility in non-Avalon instances.

    • It is not trivial to just pull pieces of the Avalon AV features out of

  • Nick will look into whether there is a default AV player alternative that we could swap out in Hyrax with better captioning support.

    • Current video player is videoJS.

    • Consider looking at Able Player (used at Princeton) and MediaElement (used at Tufts) as a replacement.

• Next steps

  • Draft/update the VPATs for Hyrax and Hyku

    • Mention in VPATs that we have gone through accessibility testing with real users but don’t share the results

  • Revisit the charter and determine remaining deliverables.
