Agenda and notes:

• Quick discussion about ILS platforms at our institutions

• VPATS

  • Nick updated the team on the work that Julie, Rebekah, Christine and he had done in sprints regulating in a nearly finished VPAT for Hyrax. The method they used to break down components into stories and accomplish work to bring Hyrax into compliance is a big win.

  • Christine shared that this would be the basis for one for Hyku.

  • Next steps would be to work with Princeton to test Hyrax and hopefully have a slot for Hyku as well.

  • No one could speak for Avalon today.

• Website & Accessibility: We need to speak to Heather about getting a website change to incorporate language about the community’s commitment to accessibility and the links to the VPATS. All of the documentation for Hyrax and Hyku are in GitHub so that is where the VPATs will reside.

• Process for continual compliance and testing: While we had tried to have a sandbox version of Hyrax which could be updated continually and used to test with partners who have SiteImprove, what is working is the product owner setting a calendar reminder periodically. We need more discussion on this when Avalon people are present.

• Roadmap: definitely need everyone present for this discussion.
