Agenda & Notes
Any other items for the agenda?
No other agenda items were raised.Discussion: @Robin Lindley Ruggaber will give her presentation from Open Repositories 2024, “Appalachian Research and Value for the Greater Good” and lead a discussion about supporting under-resourced regional institutions and similar partnerships.
Excellent presentation from Robin! Useful insight to appreciate the relationship between a parent university and satellite campuses and how they might support each other.
Would like to tell the UVA, PALNI and British Library stories (the latter two using Hyku) of a hub and what it can do to support related organizations without infrastructure directly on Samvera channels. UVA story would be excellent as a video story.
Would like to reach Deans with these stories to highlight how libraries can support wider mission of the institutions. Also to showcase, and leverage, use of open source in achieving that mission.
Robin is interested in hearing from anyone who has had grant opportunities for similar projects. Suggestions for Mellon and Arcadia.

Europe - Oxford and British Library have expressed interest in working together to host something at Oxford the week of October 21st (International Open Access Week)
No fall Partner in-person meeting - could have a virtual Partner meeting after the regional meetings, or devote November 8th or December 13th meeting to discussion of regional meeting outcomes and next steps. Thoughts welcome.
