Discussion with Virtual Partner Meeting next week BM will facilitate a short discussion about possible formats etc.
What program components can we make virtual? Does virtual allow us more options? See what we can recreate, but also look to this as an opportunity to do things we haven't done in the past Must find a way to capture the non-conference breakout opportunities for both business and social interaction
Possible Formats Maybe pre-record presentations and have the synchronous sessions concentrate on Q&A about them? Difficult to get people reliably to look at things in advance if that's unstructured Several other conferences are spreading their virtual conference out over days/weeks Need to have a discussion about all this during Virtual Connect. Use that as the end stop and then quickly make decisions and start serious planning. Rather than an open discussion, seed it with two suggestions of things we know we could do. Use next call to map these out. This is likely to be more work for the Program Committee than a conventional conference. Need to pace ourselves and not attempt to take on too much. ALL seek information about what other conferences are doing to get ideas
