Samvera Virtual Connect (SVC), is an opportunity for Samvera Community participants to gather online to touch base on the progress of community efforts at a roughly halfway point between face-to-face Samvera Connect meetings. Samvera is a growing, active community with many initiatives taking place across interest groups, working groups, local and collaborative development projects, and other efforts, and it can be difficult for community members to keep up with all of this activity on a regular basis. SVC will give the Samvera community a chance to come together to catch up on developments, make new connections, and re-energize itself towards Samvera Connect 2021.
When will Samvera Virtual Connect 2021 take place?
Samvera Virtual Connect 2021 will take place over two days on April 20 - 21 - 22, 2021. Each day's event will be broadcast via Zoom.
How can I submit a proposal to present?
We’re looking for submissions from across the entire Samvera landscape, including both local development and community work (unlike years past, Interest and Working Groups need not submit proposals for updates).
To submit a proposal, please prepare the following:
- Title
- Abstract
- Description of Intended Audience
- Format (20 minute presentation, lightning talk < 10 minutes)
- Date preference/availability

How can I attend Samvera Virtual Connect 2021?
Registration is free and will be available closer to the eventstarting Monday, April 5th.
Who can participate in Samvera Virtual Connect 2021?
Any institution or individual working with or interested in Samvera is invited to attend. There is no charge for participation.
How will Samvera Virtual Connect be structured?
Samvera Virtual Connect 2021 will take place over two days from 11 AM - 2 PM EDT. The program includes a mix of 20 minute presentations 10 minute lightning talks and updates from Working and Interest Groups.
I can't make it. Will Samvera Virtual Connect be recorded for later viewing?
Yes, recordings of both days of Samvera Virtual Connect 2021 will be made available after the event.
