After a year of active software development, Hyku, the Hyrax-based repository application developed in the Hydra-in-a-Box project, is ready for beta testing! We are soliciting the Hydra community’s assistance to improve Hyku and to help define and prioritize our work for the remainder of the time on the IMLS grant supporting this project. The Beta test Test is an open opportunity to deploy the Hyku repository locally or in the cloud, to “kick the tires”, and to give the Hydra-in-a-Box team feedback on Hyku & its deployment options. In our project, we sought to develop a Hydra-based repository that is easy to install, easy to maintain, and easy to configure; your feedback is crucial for helping us gauge how much progress we’ve made on these goals.
