Requirements for Nomination:
Nominees must be employed with a Samvera Partner Institution in good standing.
Nominees must provide a State of Purpose describing:

Reason they wish to serve on Steering
Nominees attending the Samvera Partners Partner Meeting in Salt Lake City on October 8th, 2018 will be given an opportunity to briefly introduce themselves
Institutions may not have more than one representative per institution. No candidate may be from an institution already represented on Steering. If more than one candidate is nominated from an institution, the Election Committee will contact the nominees. The nominees will then need to decide which candidate will run.

Timeline:
Nominations will be accepted between September 20 and September 26
Steering will contact those nominated by a third party to confirm that the nominee will run as a candidate by September 28
October 1 - Release names of Candidates
October 8 - Candidates in attendance at Partners Partner Meeting will introduce themselves
Election - Open from October 15 - October 26
Steering Member serves Ancillary Term November 5, 2018 - July 31, 2019
